Paul Minney
In 2005, PM Events was born. Now in a position to make his dreams a reality, Paul still strives to achieve the same for each of his clients. Using only the best equipment and technology available, Paul also works closely with exclusive caterers, florists and interior designers to ensure that each event is truly memorable and exclusive to each individual client.
Based in the north west, Paul Minney is PM Events. He discovered a love for marquees over twenty years ago, when he learned his trade the hard way, working with well-seasoned marquees and showmen. This was done using old-fashioned pole tents, pegs and sledgehammers. Through passion, blood sweat and tears he was soon working on prestige events, such as Royal Ascot, Wimbledon and Henley Regatta, to name but a few.
While still in his twenties, Paul proudly progressed to operations director at Harlow Marquees, where with the use of aluminium framework, he soon developed ways to design new and exciting ideas using the latest techniques and equipment.
Paul regularly travelled to Germany to visit one of the largest European marquee providers to view their latest creations and accessories. He would then return and incorporate these into his vision for the perfect marquee.
Paul went on to become managing director at Kingfisher Marquees, where he increased business by 1000%. In three years Paul and his business partner worked together to create some of the most fabulous marquees available. They provided events for some of the country's largest companies and famous celebrities.
